PITTSBURGH, PA — The strangest home season opener in Steelers history occurs Sunday when the Denver Broncos come to town. The two teams will play in an empty Heinz Field because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Steelers come into the game with a 1-0 record after their 26-16 victory Monday night in New York against the Giants. Denver is 0-1 after a disappointing 16-14 home loss to the Tennessee Titans that occurred despite Titans kicker Stephen Gostkowski missing three mid-range field goal attempts and an extra point attempt.

A storyline to watch for the Steelers is who will excel at running back. Oft-injured starting running back James Conner left the game early again on Monday with an ankle problem. His replacement, Benny Snell Jr., rushed for a career high 113 yards after Conner's exit.
