Steelers-Buccaneers NFL Week 6: What You Need To Know

Can the Steelers bounce back this week after suffering their worst defeat since 1989?

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Steelers suffered their worst loss in 33 years last year as they were pulverized by the Buffalo Bills 38-3 in a game that wasn't even as close as the score indicated. The Bills easily could have put up 50 had they wanted against the Steelers, who were dreadful on offense, defense and special teams.

Things don't get any easier this week.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to Acrisure Stadium boasting, oh, only the greatest quarterback of all time in Tom Brady (hate to write that, but it's true). Brady has amassed an impressive lifetime record of 12-3 against the Steelers, including playoff games.

But it's not just Brady that the Steelers have to worry about. Tampa Bay has the NFL's fifth-best defense as well, which does not bode well for one of the league's worst offenses. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett has done a decent job since replacing Mitch Trubisky, but has yet to throw a touchdown in his six quarters behind center. That might not be entirely his fault however; astonishingly enough, through five games - nearly a third of the season- no Steelers wide receiver has scored a touchdown.

Could be another long afternoon.
