The injury occurred on an end-around run in which Smith-Schuster collided with a Broncos player and appeared to be noticeably in pain following the play. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said after the game that Smith-Schuster was taken to the hospital but did not detail the extent of the injury; he likely will address that during his weekly news conference on Tuesday.
ESPN reported on Monday that Smith-Schuster suffered a dislocated shoulder, will undergo surgery this week and will be sidelined for four months.
