Steelers To Launch Fireworks Fan Alert System

Fans will be reminded by fireworks when they should enter the stadium so they won't miss the opening kickoff.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Steelers and Heinz Field management are introducing an explosive concept to remind fans to enter the stadium early. Fireworks will be set off twice before kickoff to alert fans that it's time to stop tailgating and get inside the stadium for pregame activities and Steelers introductions.

This week, the Steelers play the Seattle Seahawks Sunday at 8:20 p.m., so the Zambelli Fireworks will be launched at 7:20 p.m. and 7:50 p.m.

Fans are also being reminded of the mobile ticketing process inplace at Heinz Field starting this year. Prior to coming to the stadium, fans should:

• Make sure their phones are fully charged.

• Arrive to the gates early – if you arrive after 30 minutes before kickoff, there is a good chance you will miss the start of the game.
