Steelers' Tomlin Among Highest Paid Coaches In America

Tomlin's compensation is among the highest of any sports coach, according to Forbes.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin ranks among the highest-paid coaches in American sports, according to Forbes. Tomlin is tied for 15th place with Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid, Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn and Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle with an average annual salary of $8 million.

Forbes had this to say about Tomlin, who has a career winning percentage of .650: "Only Bill Belichick and Sean Payton have been with their current teams longer than Tomlin, who was hired by the Steelers in 2007 and two years later became the youngest Super Bowl-winning head coach in NFL history at the age of 36. Tomlin has never had a losing season with the Steelers and
has missed the playoffs in only four years."

Belichick, the New England Patriots coach, is the nation's highest paid coach with an average annual salary of $12 million.
