Threat Prompts Modified Lockdown In Pittsburgh Public Schools
The lockdown will be in effect all day Monday.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Most Pittsburgh Public Schools are operating on a modified lockdown Monday after a threat against an unspecified Pittsburgh-area school was called into a local TV station Sunday evening. The district announced the lockdown in an automated call to district parents Monday morning.
The modified lockdown means students will remain inside their building all day and only visitors with prior appointments will be admitted into schools. The lockdown is in effect for all high schools, middle schools, K-8 schools, all early childhood and early head start classrooms and all schools sharing a building or campus.
The call emphasized that the move is being done strictly as a precautionary measure while district police and other law enforcement agencies work to identify the source of the threat
