Two Pittsburgh-Area Restaurants Hit With Consumer Alerts
The Allegheny Health Department is advising consumers to be aware of issues at two suburban Pittsburgh restaurants.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Department has issued consumer alerts for two Pittsburgh-area restaurants.
An inspection at Dive Bar & Grille on Perry Highway in Pine inspection found live German cockroaches in the kitchen and a back room. That was one repeat violation. Another was that all cooking, food preparation tables, drain boards, shelving, refrigeration, slicer blade, walk-in refrigerator shelving, and dish washing equipment were encrusted with old food, grease, and dust.
The floor in the kitchen, prep area, back room and bar were found to have encrusted dirt, grease, and food buildup. Accumulated old food and dirt behind refrigerators.

At Thai Place North, also on Perry Highway in Pine, live roaches were found in both kitchens, the dish room, behind coolers and on a drying rack. Old grime and food residue were found on all kitchen equipment, fryers, coolers, coolers, lower shelving, bowls, and tables in the main kitchen, the prep kitchen and the dish room..
Shrimp was found thawing in the hand sink basin.
