Two Pittsburgh TV News Reporters Wed

The two reporters will strive for marital bliss despite working for competing stations.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Two Pittsburgh TV news anchors formed a matrimonial anchor team on Saturday. Amy Hudak, a WPXI-TV general assignment reporter, married WTAE-TV Westmoreland County bureau chief Jim Madalinsky.

According to her station biography, Hudak was studying pre-medicine at Penn State before deciding to go into broadcasting during an internship with Joy Bauer, a Today show health contributor. Before joining WPXI-TV, she worked at WTNH-TV in her hometown of Hartford, CT and WHAM-TV in Rochester, NY.

Madalinsky was raised in North Fayette and graduated from Kent State University in Ohio. He worked at stations in North Dakota, South Dakota and New York before joining WTAE-TV in 2018.
