Veteran Pittsburgh Radio Personality Loses Job

The longtime DJ is out after more than three decades on the job.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Longtime 3WS DJ Sheri Van Dyke has lost her job after more than three decades at the radio station.

"This pandemic has claimed another job, mine," Van Dyke announced on Facebook.

"I’m hoping it’s an adventure in a good way; a little break to spend some time with Mom & Pop & my sis and in-laws. But it’s damn scary. First time for me. I hope to face it with humor and determination.. and maybe a margarita or two! Thanks for all those who listened.. and called.. and messaged. I'll still be here."
