Wrestling Championships And Other Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events

PITTSBURGH, PA - Here are a few facts you probably didn’t know: The NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships have been held 13 times in Pennsylvania, the last in 2011 in Philadelphia. The NCAA meet has not been in Pittsburgh since 1957 when Port Robertson’s Oklahoma Sooners edged host Pittsburgh for the team title.
They are happening here again this weekend at PPG Paints Arena and a Pennsylvania team is the overwhelming favorite to win the title. Penn State’s wrestling team is going for its fourth straight national crown and eighth in the last nine years. The Nittany Lions have qualified for nationals at nine of the 10 weight classes.
The wrestling championships will be held March 21 at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.; March 22 at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. and March 23 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

- Vintage Pittsburgh 2019, March 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Senator John Heinz History Center, Strip District
Shop ‘til you drop at the seventh annual Vintage Pittsburgh retro fair, presented in partnership with the Neighborhood Flea at the Heinz History Center. Find a variety of vintage clothing, accessories, home décor, vinyl records and much more from dozens of local vendors and also explore the history center’s six floors of engaging exhibitions.
Vintage Pittsburgh 2019 admission is included with the regular musuem admission.
- Pittsburgh Arts and Crafts Spring Fever Festival, March 22-23, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; March 24, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monroeville Convention Center
Browse and shop more than 180 booths of quality arts and crafts including jewelry, decorative painting, scented candles, embellished clothing, functional and decorative wood, fabric decor, purses, soft sculpture, seasonal floral designs, prints, pet treats and collars, lawn and garden decor and more.
Pittsburgh Arts and Crafts Spring Fever Festival adult admission is $5.50.
