About Us
The Garden Club of Oakmont improves the quality of our community by nurturing plant life in public spaces and by conserving our natural resources. Our mission blends education, inspiration, environmental stewardship, and action. We provide fun opportunities for members to learn about gardening, native plants, and horticulture. We help make our community beautiful by planting flowers and maintaining hanging baskets and planters in the summer. Each year we offer gardening workshops for seniors, tours of local and regional gardens, and a scholarship to a deserving recipient. We proudly oversee Oakmont’s Dark Hollow Woods and support Western Pennsylvania’s horticultural and wildlife organizations.
