📰 News we're reading

• Plum stays undefeated, gets revenge against Shaler (triblive.com) — Plum football fans just watched the Mustangs stay undefeated with a dominant 42-6 home win over Shaler, avenging last year's turnover-filled loss. Senior quarterback John Nonnenberg threw for 203 yards and two scores, while several Plum playmakers stepped up despite missing their starting running back.

• Governor Shapiro's Historic Investments in Public Education Allow Baldwin-Whitehall School District to Add New ASL Classes, Expand Pre-K Programs for Children and Families (pa.gov) — Plum Borough families should know the district is slated to receive about $5.3 million in Ready to Learn Block Grant funding under Governor Shapiro's expanded education budget. While the spotlight is on Baldwin-Whitehall's new ASL and pre-K programs, the same statewide investments are boosting dozens of nearby districts, potentially supporting new programs, staffing, and classroom resources in Plum over the next few years.
