Verona Meet the Candidates Night

Tuesday evening Verona Council and Mayoral candidates were invited to a "Meet the Candidates" night.  Obie Morford acted as moderator for the evening.  

The candidates introduced themselves and told where they lived.  Next four predetermined questions were asked by the moderator.  All the candidates had five minutes to answer each question.  Each question was answered one at a time; then all candidates answered the second as so on.  Following the questions there was a ten minute break and then residents of Verona were able to ask questions of the candidates.

The four questions were:  1. Incumbents: During your last four years in office,what did you accomplish for the Borough of Verona?  New Candidates running for office:  In the last four years how have you been involved in the community of Verona?

2. Why are you running for office in Verona?

3. What is your vision for Verona in the next four years and how do you intend to accomplish that vision?

4. What do you see as the biggest challenge for Verona?  Be specific.
