Burglaries Reported, Oakmont Police Urge Residents to Look Out for Suspicious Activity

Two burglaries have been reported in Oakmont this past week.

Oakmont Police Chief David DiSanti is urging residents to report suspicious activity in the area after a few burglaries occurred this week.

Burglaries were reported at a home on Oakwood Terrace on Oct. 9 and on Eighth Street on Oct. 11. Money and jewelry were reported stolen.

DiSanti said both burglaries occurred during daylight hours between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Forced entry was reported in both instances.

DiSanti is urging residents to be on the lookout and report any suspicious activity to police.

"It only takes us a few minutes to check it out," he said. "We need help. We can't be everywhere at all times."
