Celebrate Valentine's Day With Crafting
Three items and three simple steps create this cute Valentine's Day conversation hearts votive.
Using only a bag of conversation hearts, a glass votive and hot glue, parents and their children (or anyone for that matter) can create a simple but cute craft project for Valentine’s Day.Â
This candy-decorated votive can be made for grandparents, teachers, babysitters or that special someone.

Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Steps:
- Remove all stickers from the votive and plug in the hot glue gun.
- Once the hot glue is to temperature, begin by putting a small dab of glue at the bottom of the glass votive. Place one conversation heart on the dab of glue and press down. (Parents should handle the hot glue gun at all times; children can help by pressing the hearts onto the glue or by helping to arrange the hearts.)
- Continue adding conversation hearts (alternating colors and phrases) until the entire exterior of the votive is covered. Fill the votive with a candle and give it to that special someone this February 14.
If your loved one isn’t a fan of candles, you can always replace the votive with a plain candy dish or a glass vase and decorate the outside the same way.
