5K Race - males and females in the following: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ Prizes will be awarded to the male and female in each age group with the best time.
Race Results/Timing
The 5K race will be timed by Runners High. Results will be available at www.runhigh.com.
Parking
Participants should park in the lot behind the Cancer Center (marked Employee Parking) at Forbes Regional Hospital.
The Beneficiary
The Heart and Vascular Center at Forbes Regional Hospital opened in 2008. Since then, it has received national recognition for its outstanding quality and patient outcomes. It is the only program in western Pennsylvania to receive the Society of Thoracic Surgeons' three-star quality rating (the highest rating possible) for three consecutive years.
Additional Information
Course Description: The 5K course consists of rolling hills and an uphill finish. The course begins at the Cancer Center on Forbes Regional's campus, exits campus, goes down McGinley Road and loops back on the Westinghouse campus at the bottom of McGinley Road. The race finishes back on the hospital's campus at the starting point at the Cancer Center. The walk will be held on Forbes Regional's campus only. The race will be chip timed, which will be organized by Runners High.
