The following program will be presented on Thursday, July 12 at 6:30 PM: "How to Deal with Difficult People" with Counselor Eileen Colianni.
Eileen will discuss strategies for responding to such people in a manner which takes care of oneself without matching the negativity, put-downs,or anger one may be receiving.
She will also explain how optimal coping strategies vary according to the role such a person plays in one's life. Responding to a boss, for example, requires a different approach than dealing with a troublesome neighbor. Adults cannot be victims unless they consent to be and sometimes they do, by remaining silent in the face of mistreatment. Join us tonight to learn how to find your voice and empower yourself when encountering difficult people.
Please register for the program by calling the library at 412-828-9532 or at the web site, www.oakmontlibrary.org
