Musician Bill Deasy at the Oakmont Carnegie Library
Final Event in our Summer Reading Series
Join us at 7:30 pm on August 2, as we welcome musician Bill Deasy to the Oakmont Carnegie Library. Bill will be playing a short set on our front lawn as the final event in our Summer Reading series. The event will be on our front lawn facing Allegheny River Boulevard. If the weather won’t cooperate, we’ll move the event indoors to our lower level. This event is free for all Summer Reading participants. We request a $5.00 donation to the library for all other attendees. Bring a blanket or a chair, enjoy some Blue Bunny ice cream, and listen to our evening concert.
Bill Deasy is a singer, songwriter, and novelist who is a native of Pittsburgh. From Bill Deasy’s website: “Since leaving the Gathering Field in early 2000, Bill has enjoyed success as a solo artist through a string of compelling and critically acclaimed records. From "Good Day, No Rain" (2003) to "Chasing Down a Spark" (2005) to "The Miles" (2007) to "A Different Kind of Wild" (2008) and "Being Normal" (2009) his craft has matured and his soulfulness, deepened. The same can be said for his live performances which continue to grow more passionate and powerful.”
We hope to see you at the library for this fun outdoor event!
