Lunch prices in the district will increase by 25-cents.
Officials voted to increase the lunch prices to $2.50 for the 2012-13 school year. Officials are preparing for new federal department of agriculture guidelines that will require districts to serve more whole grains; fruits and vegetables; and fat-free or low-fat milk—foods that are more expensive.
The new guidelines will be explain in depth at the May 7 student life meeting at 7 p.m. at the on Tenth Street.
