I came across this blog by Andrea Dekker (andreadekker.com) while searching Pinterest for “baby list.” I was looking for a good list to refresh my memory of what I actually need for baby #2 (and what I could get ride of from baby #1). Her post “Raising and Infant on a Budget” lead me to her post on “Having a Baby on a Budget” which took me to “How I Store and Organize All Out Baby Clothes” which sent me into an obsession reading EVERYTHING she’s got.
It’s not just baby stuff. It’s life stuff. Andrea describes herself as a “list maker, diaper changer, life simpler.” I dig it. I’m definitely the first, soon-to-be the second, and wishing I was the third. She’s also a professional organizer, mom to a cute little girl, wife and REAL. With other bloggers I’ve felt like I can pull this or that from their posts but I’ve never really had too much in common with them (I don’t have 10 kids, I work a full-time job outside of the home, I don't home school, etc.). I’ve been looking for someone whose posts speak to me and encourage me to continue clearing out our house (and my mind) while understanding that I’ve got to go to work and buy some stuff once in a while. Andrea’s posts help so much from figuring out how to organize (or get rid of) all our stuff, buying tips, and she’s renovating her farmhouse just like me!
I encourage you to take a look at andreadekker.com if you’re looking for down-to-earth, attainable advice for your home and family.
