As of January 3, 2014, Verona Mayor David Ricupero, head of emergency management, has opened the Verona Borough Building for anyone that may have problems with their furnace, a power outage, etc. The Verona Borough Building will be open due to the extreme cold weather until folks are able to make arrangements with family, or the Red Cross. This will be in effect until next week.
