Teams play for a spot in the June 25 championship game.

Several baseball teams within the Riverview Athletic Association are nearing the end of the season.

On Saturday, the A's—sponsored by Dirty Harry's Bike Shop in Verona—faced off with the Cardinals—sponsored by Beer Nutz Distributor in Verona—and beat them 11 to 2. The teams are part of the Manager Pitch League, which is for boys ages 7 and 8.

The A's will continue on in the playoffs in the hopes of playing in the June 25 championship game. The next playoff game will be Monday at 6:15 p.m. at Riverside Park.
