
Plum District Justice Linda Zucco heard the following cases on June 19:
- Dominic Anthony Tavella, 24, of Plum, was hel for court on charges of accidents involving injury, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance--second offense, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without a financial responsibility, driving witha blood alcohol content of 0.02 percent or higher with a suspended license and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Plum police accuse Tavella of hitting a 15-year-old bicyclist with his vehicle on Unity Center Road.
- Michael Jason Clista, 57, of Plum, was held for court on charges of failure to keep right, disregarding a traffic lane, careless driving and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Plum police filed the charges after a Jan. 13 incident on Repp Road.
- Joshua Lucas Defazio, 19; and Ryan Patrick Federline, 18, both of Oakmont, waived preliminary hearings on a charge of defiant trespass. Charges of criminal trespass and conspiracy were withdrawn. Oakmont police filed the charges on June 5 after the teens were accused of breaking into Tenth Street Elementary with two juveniles around Christmas time.
- Elizabeth Marie OToole, 22, of Glassport, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of littering and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Plum police filed the charges after a March 31 incident on Saltsburg Road.
