Saturday, June 8 is a busy day.  It will start off with a 5K Walk/Run benefitting Verona Streetscape Revitalization project.  Registration if from 7:30 – 8:30 am and Start Time is 9 am.  The starting point is in the Verona Railroad Park gazebo.  For more details and information, contact Heather at 412-517-8420 or Denise at 412-828-5861.

At 11 am the annual Bike Safety Derby will be held at Verona Police Station on East Railroad Avenue.  This is for all ages.  They will have a bike safety inspection by Dirty Harry’s Bikes, serial numbers taken, instructions and courses, bike helmets for the younger riders, and have a challenging course to navigate.  Be sure to be there for the surprise visit from the PA State Police h_l_c_pt_r. This event is sponsored by your favorite Verona Police Department.

Other “doings” in Verona will be posted later.   Watch for Farmers’ Market dates and time, Verona Flower and Garden Club Open Garden Tour, and more concerts and movies in the park.  You can also check the borough website at VeronaBorough.com.  The home page will give you a good start with current events.
