Kaminski & Co. CPA Expands in Verona
The business opened in the former Verona police station, One Block Gift Shoppe location in November.

A new Certified Public Accountant office has opened in Verona.
Kaminski & Co. CPA opened in November on Allegheny River Boulevard. The building is located on what has been known to be the smallest block in existence, according to Guinness World Records.
The location also is the site of the former Verona police station and the One Block Gift Shoppe, which closed in May 2011.

Charmin Worthington, Kaminski CPA business manager and director of firm marketing, said she's been trying to confirm that the block still is the smallest ever to have a plaque made for the office.
"I love the history of this place," she said. "I grew up coming to Verona to visit relatives and I remember when it was the borough building and the police station. I'm hoping to uncover all the history here."

The firms offers a multitude of accounting and financial advising services, including tax preparation, payroll and audit representation.
Kaminski CPA has an office building in Lower Burrell. When it came time to expand, Verona seemed to be the perfect choice for the busines.
"We believe Verona is an up and coming area," Worthington said. "There's a lot of revitalization, and it's a wonderful place to expand a business."
The small town feel of the area goes hand in hand with the business' objective, Worthington said.
"We're a small firm with a lot of heart," she said. "We are really people friendly. a lot of times, people are intimidated when they go into a CPA office. We're not stuffy and we give people personal service.
"This area has a lot of charm. It's a great fit for us."
