Local Choirs to Hold Charity Concert to Rebuild Oakmont Church

Two local choirs are donating their talents in hopes that others will donate to help rebuild an Oakmont church.

The St. Paul Baptist Church was devoured by fire on Sept. 19 earlier this year and efforts to rebuild have begun.

Others in the area are trying to do their part in helping to rebuild the historic Oakmont church, as well. The Steel City Harmonizers, a barbershop chorus, and the Penn Hills High School Choir will be holding a concert in charity of the church on Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont, according to TribLive.com. The concert will be free of admission, but those who attend will be asked to contribute money to the rebuilding of the St. Paul Baptist Church.
