Plum Borough has a new IT coordinator.
On Monday, borough council hired Jason Muggli to fill the position, which has been vacant for a few months. He will begin July 1 and will be paid a salary of $63,000.
Borough manager Mike Thomas said Muggli has been working for BNY Mellon for 10 years. He currently is the company's VP IT project manager.
Thomas said 28 people applied for the position, and Muggli came out on top during all the interviews and exercises.
Muggli said he's looking forward to working in Plum.
"I think it'll be an exciting role," he said. "It'll be a good fit, and I can't wait until July 1 to get started."
