Mystery Lovers Donates Books for Children

in Oakmont has donated more than 175 new books for the Allegheny County Library Association's Bookmobile.

The Bookmobiles visit Head Start and pre-school programs throughout the county. Through the program children get their first—and sometimes second—library cards. They're able to take one home and keep one at school. Teachers also can check out storytelling books.

“It was so much fun filling the wish lists for 3- to 5-year-olds who are just opening the doors when it comes to loving books,” said Mary Alice Gorman, who owns Mystery Lovers with her husband Richard Goldman.
