Oakmont Episode of 'Showhouse Showdown' Could Air in March

The episode taped in Oakmont should have aired last October, but some season changes have pushed the air date to possibly March.

Area residents who attended the Oakmont taping of HGTV's Showhouse Showdown can see if they appear on TV in March.

About five episodes of Showhouse Showdown have aired on TV. and was expected to air in October. Because of competition during the Monday night television lineup late last year, HGTV postponed airing the series.

HGTV and Stone & Co. Entertainment partnered with Pittsburgh’s Heartland Homes to film an episode at Edgewater at Oakmont in September. The show also filmed in Cranberry in August.

When news of the , it was believed that the Pittsburgh-area episodes would air on HGTV in December or January.

Adam Packard, marketing manager for Heartland Homes, said the series is set to relaunch in March and the Oakmont and Cranberry episodes most likely will air early on in the season.

Packard said Heartland Homes should receive more information from the show's producers soon.

Showhouse Showdown pits two experts against each other in competition to design the best model home. In this case, two side-by-side townhomes were designed.

About 400 people attended the show's filming on Sept. 11. Former season four Bachelor Bob Guiney—or Bachelor Bob—hosts the new series.
