Obituaries - Earl L. Pauli and Henry Gonsowski

Earl L. Pauli, of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, formerly of Oakmont and Indiana Township, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the age of 89, with his family at his side.

 For 66 years, he was the beloved husband of Margaret (Klemans) Pauli.  He also was the dear father of Karen (Phillip) Kerber, Chris (Peggy) Pauli, Gerald (Tammy) Pauli and the late Allan Pauli; brother of Bobby J. Pauli, Clara Belle Krause, Marie (the late Stanley) Smetana and the late Emma Rucosky, John Pauli and Elwood Pauli; grandfather to six; and great-grandfather of eight. 

Earl was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Oakmont, where he served as president, vice-president and secretary and as a deacon and trustee of the church.  An Army veteran, Earl served during World War II.

Friends and relatives will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Monday at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1261 Pennsylvania Avenue, Oakmont, PA, 15139. 

The family suggests memorials be made to the church in Earl's memory.

 Henry Gonsowski, of Verona, died peacefully at the age of 94, on June 16, 2013, surrounded by his family.  

Henry was the beloved husband of the late Betty M. Gonsowski; loving father of Henrietta Stewart, Susan Morabito (Pete), Betty Anne Meyers (Dave), Charlene Jackson (Jake), and Henry Gonsowski (Becky); grandfather of Sandy Stewart, Kimberly Nagy, David Meyers, Ray Anthony, Liz Anthony, Sam and Will Gonsowski.  He is also survived by five great-grandchildren. 

Mr. Gonsowski worked for Union Specialty Steel for 40 years and was a longtime member of the Verona Eagles.  He was a loving father and friendly likeable man with a unique sense of humor who made friends wherever he went.

 Services and interment will be private.
