Obituaries - Gary Knell and John H. Davis

Gary Knell, of McKeesport (formerly of Oakmont) passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the age of 57.  

Gary was the son of the late Charles Knell, Jr. and Etta Knell of Oakmont and brother of Charles Knell III.  
Gary was a 1973 graduate of Riverview High School, Oakmont, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  

Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 11 am until 1 pm at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A brief funeral service will be held at 1 pm in the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation.  Interment will follow in the Verona Cemetery in Oakmont.

 John H. Davis, of Penn Hills, died peacefully Sunday morning, June 23, 2013, at the age of 58.

John was the beloved son of the late J. Harry “Speed” and Helen (Harper) Davis; dear father of Emily and her husband, Neil Orbin; and brother of Susan (Robert) Clark, Mary Smith and Amy Davis.  John is survived by Emily’s mother, Donna LaScola.  Also many nieces and nephews survive.

John was a member of Twin Borough Apaches, and a 1972 graduate of Penn Hills High School.

Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial visitation from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.

The Family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of one’s choice.
