Obituary - Earle B. Lafean III

Earle B. “Jet” Lafean III, of Pittsburgh, died suddenly Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, in his residence, at the age of 61.

Earle was the beloved son of Anastasia (Gougoulis) Lafean and the late Earle B. Lafean Jr.; brother of Christopher and his wife, Paula Lafean, of Cabot; uncle of Christine (David) Bossung; and proud great-uncle of Calleigh Grace Bossung.

 Earle was a graduate of LaMar University class of 1975.  He was a photographer for United Press and received various awards.  He also received the Governors Award for recognition of citizens’ volunteer services that provide support for community crime prevention.  Earle also enjoyed photography, history, hunting and computers.

Friends and relative are invited to a memorial Mass at 10 am Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 315 Stoneyhollow Road, Cabot, PA 16023.

Arrangements were entrusted to BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., Oakmont.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
