
Eleanor M. (Cherok) Kozera, of Verona, passed peacefully Saturday morning, June 22, 2013, in her home, at the age of 91.

Eleanor  was the beloved wife of the late John F. Kozera Sr.; loving mother of Gregory A. (Lynnda), John F. Jr., David (Christina), Dana P. (Ann Marie), Ronald S. (Kathleen) and the late Robert Kozera; mother-in-law of Kim and Cheryl Kozera; and sister of Andrew (Dorothy) Cherok, Thomas (Cheran) Cherok and the late Michael, John and Charles Cherok.  Eleven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive.

Eleanor was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish, William McKinley Senior Center, and worked the election for 15 years. Â She will be remembered for her caring way, especially putting others before herself.

Friends and relatives will be received from 7 to 9 pm Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont. Â A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Verona. Â The Family suggests memorials to William McKinley Senior Center, Seventh at Center avenues, Verona, PA 15147.
