Obituary - Erma H. Pontieri

Erma H. Pontieri, of Oakmont, passed away at the age of 82, on Saturday, September 28, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Erma was the beloved wife of the late Michele (Michael)Pontieri; loving mother of Michael Pontieri, Maria (Mark) Hospodar and Janet (John) Donovan. She was the adoring grandmother of Michael Hospodar, Mark Hospodar, Joseph Donovan, Matthew Donovan and John Donovan.  She is survived by her sister Angeline Marino and preceded in death by her brother, the late Anthony Mercurio.

Born December 15, 1930 in Nocera Terinese, Italy, Erma immigrated to the United States with her family in 1935.  She married in 1950 and settled in Oakmont where she and Michael lived and raised their family for 62 years.  She dedicated her life to her loving husband, children and grandchildren who loved her dearly.  She will be missed everyday by those who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, INC., 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA, 15139.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Thursday in Saint Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont.  Everyone is to meet at church.  Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
