Obituary - Janet K. Moser (Borkowski)

Janet K. Moser (Borkowski), of Oakmont, passed away in her residence on Monday, June 9, 2014, at the age of 80.

Janet was the beloved wife for 61 years of Ralph A. Moser; loving mother of Robert (Susie) Moser, Sheryll (Timothy) O’Malley, Susan (Robert) Herb, Michael Moser, David Moser, Lisa Boyd, and Paul Moser; grandmother of 20; great-grandmother of 21; great-great-grandmother of two and one on the way; sister of Helen (Edward) Rayburg, and the late Anthony Borkowski, and Judith Nolan. 

She was a graduate of Penn Hills high school and worked as a secretary for many years, having worked at St. Joe Zinc Co., Lectromelt Corp., Western PA Conference/United Methodist Church, and Professional Risk Management Consultants.

Janet was a longtime member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church where she belonged to the former Altar Society, now the Christian Mothers of the church.  She enjoyed swimming, walking, writing, and reading. 

Friends and relatives will be received on Wednesday, June 11 from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, June 12 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Interim Hospice, 1789 S. Braddock Ave. Suite 340, Pittsburgh, 15218.
