
Joseph P. Slivon, Jr., of Verona passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013 in his residence, at the age of 67.
Joseph was born in Tarentum on December 3, 1945, the son of the late Joseph P. and Mary (Emirshick) Slivon, Sr. He was the loving husband for 33 years of Sarah (Glover) Golem; dear father of Rick (Jenna) Golem of Lower Burrell; grandfather of Aubrey and Alaina Golem and the late Ian Golem; brother of Mary (Don) Aspinall of Virginia.
Friends and relatives will be received on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont. A blessing service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, 10 am in the funeral home with Father Edwin Wichman officiating. Interment will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Cheswick.

Nancy J. Kerr, 82 of Oakmont passed away with her loving family by her side on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the age of 82.
Nancy was the dear wife for 62 years of Ralph C. Kerr, Jr.; loving mother of Lawrence “Larry” (Katie) Kerr, Debra “Debbie” (James) Lear, Ralph (Paula) Kerr, III, Virginia “Ginny” Kerr, and Richard “Rick” Kerr; grandmother of Sharon (Jason) Proden, Jennifer Kerr, LeAnne (Devon) Doran, Kaitlin and Jessica Lear, Nicole and Andrew “Andy” Kerr; great-grandmother “Gee Gee” to Lucas and Brayden Proden, Colin, Rory, and Elizabeth Doran, and Cole Gochenour.
Nancy will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and her strong commitment to her Catholic faith. We know you are in heaven, Rest in peace.
Friends and relatives will be received on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church.
