Obituary - Patrick J. McCarthy, Sr.

Patrick J. McCarthy, Sr., of Oakmont (formerly of Penn Hills), passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013, at the age of 87.  Pat was the beloved husband for 64 years of Irene (Calvert) McCarthy; loving father of Patrick J. (Debbie) McCarthy, Jr.; dear grandfather of Kellie (Brian) Irwin, Christopher (Lia) McCarthy, and Sean McCarthy; great-grandfather of Elle and Grayson Irwin, and Kennedy McCarthy; brother of the late Francis and Mary Ellen McCarthy; brother-in-law of Dottie Cook and June Calvert. 

Pat was a WWII Navy Veteran, a lifetime member of the Oakmont Elks Lodge 1668, and had 64 years of service as a steamfitter working for Local Union 449. 

Friends and relatives will be received on Saturday, August 10, 2013 and Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  Oakmont Elks will hold services Saturday Evening at 7 pm during the visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 12, 2013 at 12 noon in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont.
