Raymond E. Scholze, of Penn Hills, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, at the age of 81.
Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean War. Â He worked as a mechanical service engineer in the railway industry, logging many years with Railway Maintenance Corporation, Portec and Essco. Â
In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, putzing around the house, and watching the Steelers and Pirates.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Beatrice R. Scholze, as well as his father and mother Edward J. and Marie E. Scholze and sister Dolores M. Scholze. Â He is survived by his six daughters: Dianna Rose, Susan Adelsberger, Nancy Chuba (Ed), Patti Stough (Warren), Shari Carter, and Roberta Seneca (Rudy); and his brother Edward J. Scholze, Jr (Janet). Â He loved the company of his 11 grandchildren: Tyler Rose, Trace Reid, Libby and Ali Adelsberger, Andrew and Raymond Chuba, Lauren and Patrick Stough, Ryan Carter, Jordan and Jamie Seneca. Â
A private memorial and celebration of life will be held for family and close friends.Â
