Obituary - Raymond Joseph Mauro

Raymond Joseph Mauro, of O’Hara Twp. passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at the age of 86. 

Ray was the beloved husband of Angela Mauro and the late LaVerne (McCombs) Mauro; loving father of Ray (Denise) Mauro, Laura Mauro, and Linda (Michael Coelho) Mauro; step-father of Jason (Sharon Kossis) Menz; grandfather of Samantha and Alex Smith, Anthony Mauro, Nick (Stacey) Mauro, Isabella and Mia Coelho; great-grandfather of Ariana Mauro; step-grandfather of Olivia Menz; brother of Virginia (Rick) Miles and the late Jim Mauro.

Raymond was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Business.  He had 60 years of service with the A.G. Mauro Company, where he was most recently the CEO.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in O’Hara Twp. Ray had 55 plus years of membership at Churchill Valley Country Club.  Ray proudly served his country in the Army Air Force in Germany during WWII. 

Ray was responsible for being a cohesive member of his entire family.  He was an avid world traveler, enjoyed golf, sports, and was a great historian.  Throughout his success, he was a humble man who stayed true to his roots, and his friends and family came first. 

The family offers special thanks and gratitude to Linda Boston and the team of devoted caregivers. 

Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 1-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC, 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013, in St. Joseph Catholic Church (O’Hara Twp.).  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
