Obituary - Silas "Cy" Clark Jr.,

Silas "Cy" Clark Jr., age 53 of Verona, passed away peacefully, at the age of 53, following a three year battle with cancer, on June 5, 2014 surrounded by his family.

Cy is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Joanne (Paukoucek); mother Anna Marie; sisters Evelyn Herrmann and Donna Spong; brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Carol Sebastian, nephews and nieces; Fred (Amy), Ron, Dan (Betsy), Natalie and Victoria and great nieces and nephews, Julia, Jacob, Natalie and Liam.   He was preceded in death by his father Silas Clark Sr, father and mother-in-law Joseph and Dorothy Paukoucek and brother-in-law Fred Herrmann.

Cy was a member of Riverside Community Church in Oakmont and a lifelong Penguins fan.  At the Penguins games he was know as the "Hulk Hogan Guy" or "Malkamania" and loved to taunt opposing teams with his signs and custom jerseys.   Cy was also active in many charities including Toys 4 Tots, The American Cancer Society as well as many animal shelters including the Animal Rescue League and Kiski Valley Cat and Kitten Rescue.

Cy always put on a tough guy image but, to those who knew him, he wore his heart on his sleeve. He was always willing to pitch in and help the underdog.  During his battle with cancer, he never lost hope that he would be the exception to the rule.

Rest in Peace Cy.  May your spirit shine from the heavens.

Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, June 8th from 1 - 4 and 6 – 9 p.m. in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A Funeral service will be held at 10 am Monday, June 9th in Riverside Community Church.  

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Kiski Valley Cat and Kitten Rescue, American Cancer Society, or Riverside Community Church
