
William E. Wicks, 58, of Natrona Heights, passed away at the age f 58, on Sunday, January 5, 2014, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bill was born July 9, 1955, in New Kensington, to the late Albert E. Wicks Sr. and Mary Jane Wicks, of Arnold. Â
Bill was the retired postmaster from Brackenridge and former Postmaster of Springdale. Â He was treasurer of Lower Valley Businessmen's Association for many years. Â He was a member of Natrona Knights of Columbus and a 1973 graduate of Valley High School. Â

Bill's most significant accomplishment was his family. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, high school sweetheart, Toni Lynn (Cutrara) Wicks; son, Austin Taylor; daughter, Autumn (Jon Stiller); and grandson, Shane Anthony Wicks, all of Natrona Heights. Â Besides his mother, of Arnold, he is survived by his sister, Jan (Darcy) Caliguri, of New Kensington; his mother-in-law, Theresa Cutrara, of Cheswick; brother-in-law, Tracy (Anita) Cutrara, of West Chester; and sister-in-law, Tina (Tom) Taylor, of Indiana Township. Â Bill is survived by all his very special nieces and nephews. Â Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Shane William; his brother, Albert E. (Corky) Wicks; and his father-in-law, Anthony P. Cutrara.
Friends and relatives will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont. Â Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the funeral home with the Rev. Sean Collins officiating. Â Interment will be private.
