Obituary - Bernice “Janie” Zuckett

Bernice “Janie” Zuckett, of Oakmont (formerly of Penn Hills), died on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the age of 80. 

Janie was the beloved wife of the late Charles “Charlie” Zuckett; mother of Gary (Raeanne) Zuckett, Michael (Paula) Zuckett, Michele (Gene) Lipovich, and Craig Zuckett; grandmother of Tracy (Hugh) Zuckett-O’Sullivan, Michael P. (Amy) Zuckett, Brian and Kelly Lipovich, and Kathryn Zuckett; great-grandmother of Max and Lily; dear sister of Doris Galley, Donald (Elsa) Heshizer, Glenn (Gwen) Heshizer, Evelyn Bray, and the late Margaret Zeller, Glenna Schlessinger, John “Jack”, Robert, George, Elizabeth, Mildred, and Edith Heshizer. 

Janie was a lifelong member of McMaster United Methodist Church.  She will be missed by her many friends at the Sub Alpine Club, East Suburban Friendship Club, and the Penn Hills Senior Center, where she volunteered.

Friends and relatives will be received on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at McMaster United Methodist Church, 200 Church Street, Turtle Creek, PA  15145.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT THE CHURCH. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations to McMaster United Methodist Church.
