Obituary - Charles J. Davis, Jr., (revised)

Charles J. Davis, Jr., of Penn Hills (formerly of Shadyside), passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the age of 89.

Charles was the beloved husband of the late Veronica (Galuska) Davis; loving father of Helen (the late Steve) Fialkovich, Charles S. Davis, and Veronica (Bill) Franciscus; dear Grandfather of Megan Fialkovich, Erin and Matthew Franciscus; brother of the late Helen Davis.

Charles was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church and Choir in Shadyside. He proudly served our country in the Navy during World War II and was a longtime employee of US Steel and Research. He was also a member of Frick Lawn Bowling.

The family would like to thank the Physicians and staff at Harmarville DCI Dialysis, 4 East Shadyside Hospital, and the staff and volunteers at Forbes Hospice.

Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday , November 29, 2014, at 1 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 310 Shady Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15206. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
