Obituary -Florence Forte

Florence Forte, of Verona, died on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the age of 93.

Florence was born in Emsworth on October 13, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Gertrude (Lockard) Agnew; dear wife of the late Anthony J. Forte; loving mother of John D. (Phyllis) Forte of Trafford; dear sister of Gertrude Bounds and the late Anne Agnew and Dr. Harold S. Agnew.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews. 

Florence retired after a 35 year career at Locust Grove Elementary School in the West Mifflin School District having served as a teacher and principal. 

Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 10 am until time of 11 am service at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Blinn, Jr. officiating.  Entombment will follow next to her husband at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills.
