Francis F. Rudolph, of Oakmont, died Friday evening, September 12, 2014, at the age of 93.
Francis was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Cuneo) Rudolph; dear father of Dr. Kenneth (Leah Ducato) Rudolph, and Lawrence (Allison Bennett) Rudolph; brother of the late John Rudolph; grandfather of Amy (Michael) Shaffer, Dania (Eric) Edwards, Lauren (Michael) Bechtold, Julia (Ryan) Campbell, and Michael (Jessica) Rudolph; great- grandfather of Oliva, James, George, and Charlie.
Fran was a graduate of Carnegie Tech, now Carnegie Mellon, with a master’s in chemical engineering. He held the rank of Captain serving during WWII and was a survivor of the Normandy Invasion. He loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed golf and time with his family.
Friends and relatives will be received at BURKET - TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont, for a memorial visitation Monday 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
