Obituary - Kathleen A. Garrett

Kathleen A. Garrett, of Oakmont passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012.

Kathleen A. Garrett, of Oakmont (formerly of Natrona Heights and New Kensington), passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012, from complications of a stroke. She joined her loving husband of 47 years, Robert W. Garrett, who died Aug. 11, 2011.

 

Kathleen was born July 5, 1936, in Natrona. She was a daughter of the late Edward and Jane (Malak) Kort. She was the loving mother of Holly (Greg) VanWagenen, of Lower Burrell, Scott Garrett, of Greenfield, and Richard Garrett, of Arnold; beloved grandmother of Hope, Haley, Hannah VanWagenen, Carli, Casie, and Christina Garrett; and sister of Frances 'Sis' Harbison, of Tarentum.

Mrs. Garrett was a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont and worked at Citizens General Hospital as a medical secretary.

The family held a private viewing followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church with Father Frank Kurimsky officiating. Entombment followed in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, next to her husband.
