Obituary - Penny (Sill) Borrelli

Obituary

Penny (Sill) Borrelli, of Arnold, passed away on October 4, 2014, at the age of 67.
Penny was the beloved wife of forty-two years to Nick R. Borrelli; loving mother of Matthew J. (Jessica) Borrelli and Lauren B (Steve) Pype. She is survived by grandchildren Dominic, Autumn, Alexander, Harper, Mackenzie and Cameron. Also survived by her brother Greg (Linda) Sill of Clinton Twp, MI; brother in-law Joe (Kathy) Borrelli; nieces and nephews Joseph, David, Daniel, Katie, Evan and Kelsey; grandnieces and nephews Jane, Margie, Carter, Caroline and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her father Clarence Sill in 1983 and her mother Esther Cowan Sill in 1997.
Penny was born November 23, 1946 in Natrona Heights, PA. She was in the graduating class of 1964 from Har-Brack H.S. After high school Penny went on to receive her B.S in English Education from Indiana University of PA and completed graduate work from there as well at San Francisco State College and Penn State. She served as an English Teacher for seven years in the Deer Lakes/East Deer School Districts and one year as a Reading/English tutor in the New Kensington/Arnold School District.
After teaching she went on to work for eighteen years as a teacher and tax preparer for H&R Block. She particularly enjoyed helping the elderly each year with their taxes. Penny enjoyed her family, reading, gardening, music, going out for dinner, friends, cross stitching, couponing, crafts but what she really enjoyed was the support and love for her children. Penny always stressed to her children how important education was along with doing your best.
Funeral services will be private.
