Wai-Ching Ho, died on November 4, 2014 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 90.
Wai-Ching was the indispensable wife for 53 years of the late Wai-kam Ho; devoted mother of Kevin Ho and Dawn Ho Delbanco; and loving grandmother of Morgan and Justin Ho and Benjamin and Yvonne Delbanco.
Wai-Ching was born in Hong Kong, educated at Lingnan University, and emigrated to the United States in 1950, residing over time in Boston, Cleveland and Kansas City. She received graduate degrees from Columbia and Harvard, did pioneering work in educational research and curriculum development, curated a major museum exhibition, and raised a family. A woman of sharp intellect, fierce determination and multiple talents, she accomplished with zeal and aplomb whatever she set out to do, even if it were for the first time. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
