One Person Injured After a Shooting in Plum Wednesday Afternoon

The incident occurred on Kane Road.

A 19-year-old male is injured after a shooting on Kane Road in Plum at 1 p.m. this afternoon.

Plum police Chief Frank Monaco said the man was injured after another man knocked on his door claiming his car had broken down on nearby Route 286. According to the victim, Monaco said, he then was shot multiple times.

The suspect, with an unknown official description at the time, then took off, Monaco said. Police have not found him.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police monitored the day camp at the East Suburban YMCA—at the intersection of Route 286 and Kane Road—to ensure the safety of the children.
