PBSA Gets Ready for 2012 Baseball and Softball Season

The Plum Baseball & Softball Association has released information about a parents meeting and registration.

The Plum Baseball & Softball Association plans to conduct the 2012 baseball and softball season in Plum Borough.

The PBSA will offer opportunities for boys and girls ages 6 to 18 to play baseball and softball on both in-house and tournament teams. Girls age 19 are also eligible to participate in the slow-pitch softball league.

Informational Meeting for Parents and PBSA Members

The PBSA executive board is inviting interested parents, and all prospective PBSA members, coaches and managers to attend an informational meeting that will be held on Thursday March 1, at 7 p.m., at the , 81 Sandune Drive. The agenda includes:

  • Introductions of the PBSA board members
  • Review of the PBSA’s by-laws
  • The structure and operations of the baseball and softball leagues
  • Registration process and costs
  • Accept applications for all in-house team managers and coaches for the spring season

The board also will address other questions and concerns.

Registration

Registration for the 2012 spring season will be held at , 418 Unity Center Road in Plum. The dates and times for registration are as follows:

  • Saturday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 4, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 11, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
